PIP review - 8 months before award ends? was created by AlwaysPacing
I was first awarded PIP in 2020. At review, it was stopped but after a mandatory reconsideration and appeal (in which I said I'd go to tribunal if necessary) it was reinstated, to run to 13 March 2026.
I was therefore assuming I wouldn't need to update them until near the 2026 expiry date. However they've written to me (dated 13 July 2025) saying I need to update them by 13 Aug 2025. The letter says 'when we awarded your PIP on 13 April 2020 we told you we would write to you before your award ends to see if your needs have changed and to make sure your award is still right'.
Is it correct that they're writing to me 8 months before the award ends?
And assuming I do need to respond now, can I do the form electronically or do I need to use the paper version they've sent me?

Hi AlwaysPacing
I'm afraid it is 'correct'. Review forms are sent out up to a year before the end date, so they have time to process them.
You will need to complete the paper form they send you.

My review forms have been sent to me 16 months before my current award expires.
