Appointee Query

Hello, for the past 25 years I have acted as our daughter's appointee - she is in receipt of full PIP and in the ESA support group. Having completed the ESA to UC migration form, I then requested a biographical call for the purpose of identity etc. At the end of this call I was then instructed to call into the job centre (no appointment required) with the bank card the UC would be paid into. I explained that the bank account stated on the UC application form was the same as the one in which ESA and PIP was paid. However, the lady said that UC payment would only be made if I were to attend the job centre with the bank card - nothing else was required. Although I have no problem with this request, I was wondering if this was standard procedure? Many thanks.

Thank you for your reply David. I will attend as requested Have to say that I also felt it odd that the request for my attendance at the job centre was not noted in the 'to do list' of my daughter's journal.
