UC Transition Protection Element suddenly reduced by over £90 was created by Kay.Stratton
Hi. I wonder if anyone has had this, has any advice... etc.
A month ago, I looked at my payments online, and noticed it was almost £100 less, so I looked at the breakdown and they had reduced my Transitional Protection element by £91.47.
I put a message in my journal 20/8 asking why, asking for a breakdown. Got a brief reply saying TP reduces over time, in line with any changes to UC.
Except there are no changes to my UC. Or housing element. Or carer's element.
I spoke to Citizen's Advice, they had a specialist UC advisor look at it and they have no idea why. They advised to ask for a Mandatory Reconsideration.
In my journal, told they can't do a MR, but have escalated it to be "investigated".
CAB told me to make an online complaint as this is not resolved and is taking ages.
I made an online complaint on Monday (15/9). Still no reply to their "investigation", no acknowledgment of the official complaint. Just looked at my payments, as was checking my Journal again, and this month's -- payment date 23/9 -- is still at this lower rate!
I am so confused, and struggling with this much of a reduction!
Anyone have an advice or help???
Thank you.
