Rules for mobility transport was created by Pam j
We own our own car. I do not drive so my husband is my driver.
I have just been awarded enhanced mobility and so we can now get the car tax fully refunded.
My question is, because of this can my husband still use the car on his own i.e to visit a relative or friend .

Hi Pam j

This is what the government says:

Vehicle tax exemption
You can get a vehicle tax exemption for one vehicle, if you’re eligible.

The vehicle must be registered in the disabled person’s name or their nominated driver’s name.

The vehicle must be used for a disabled person’s personal needs. It cannot be used by the nominated driver for their own personal use.
