Just completed UC online form

Thanks to B&W, it made this mare so much easier.

We filled in the form together, H understands stuff but I struggle. I’m a quick reader though so if it’s yes & no answers I can do that, or searching for info to support our claim. The guides were really helpful & I went through them several times, & made notes. We also went through the questions & printed them off. It took about an hour & a half to fill in the online UC form. We just have to call CT, & rent now.

H claims ESA for both of us. As I understand it he won’t have to visit the JC, but I may have to. However, it did say in the form that I would need a sick note, is this true could anyone tell me? Or perhaps I have to wait to be informed in a text in my to do list?

H rang HB, it took ages to get through with press 1 …. They said that although it’s a good thing to call them, however, UC usually contact them anyway. I made notes, whilst H recorded the call. They said that we didn’t need to contact CT as when we got UC they would calculate our bill from there.

Oh dear this thing has only just began. I’d forgotten all about sick note …. I need an appointment for it & I’m unable to get one so it’s back to the 8am scramble. UC are calling me today also. Sorry I’m rambling again. But it’s asking me what I’m doing to look for work, I’m not looking so do I say this?

Sorry, might I just add that my H is the main claimant in the support group, & will not be expected to look for work. He claimed ESA, & now claims UC for both of us. We both get PIP. They’re trying to get me to search for work. I may give it up if they keep on, but after the phone call today it could change things for me. What I was going by to say also was if H is in the support group & doesn’t have to look for work, he is also my carer & gets a carers element. Could I become the carer for him instead?
