PIP Review Questions was created by Augustus
Hello

I am over 66 years and receive full rate PIP.

After my last PIP review, I had to go down the Mand.Recon. Route. A Mand. Recon. letter dated 3 Feb 2017 said I will receive such and such from 6 April 2015 for an ongoing period.

1. Do you have any idea why they would have referenced a Feb 2017 letter back to April 2015? There was no issue of any back payment.

2. What does “ongoing period” mean in terms of when further reviews will happen?

The letter goes on to say that they will also contact me while I am getting PIP. This will be after 30 November 2026.

1. So can I expect a review process to begin after this date? Or can it begin (as I’ve heard) up to 12 months before? Ie now?

Thank You

A

Hi Augustus

An ongoing period is 10 years.

You can expect a review, as to when, who knows, it can vary across regions., we have heard on the forum members being contacted I year before three claim runs out.
