Hi guys I revive a small monthly pension. The DWP has asked me for information regarding this. Upon reading about pensions on non income ESA, no UC, it seems that the DWP deducts a small portion of however much your pension is over by 85. In my case it would be £10 per week over, so I would assume I would need to loose £20 per month, as the amount is 50 percent. I don’t understand why the DWP hasn’t informed me of this until now. Am I right in assuming that I will then owe the DWP an over payment? I’ve been receiving ESA for 10 months. Thank you Minxy

Hi Minxy

Were you in receipt of the pension when you first applied for ESA 10 months ago? If so you should have included the pension details on the ESA 1 form.
