PIP review was created by tillyboo
I sent off my PIP review which was recieved on the 26th August.
This morning I recieved a text saying "Your PIP review is complete. You should receive your decision letter in 2 weeks. Once you receive your letter, contact us if you have any questions. Do not call before you get the letter as we will not be able to tell you the decision. Please remember to contact us if your circumstances change."

I've been hearing reviews taking months & months. This as been 2mths & 2 wks.

Should I be worried? Anxiety as gone into overdrive. My last 2 PIP reviews were paper based with 4 year awards each time.
I'm on high rate for both.

Can they just stop PIP or would the letter say its stopped?

After this year with esa to uc migration which was a nightmare & everything else I am going through, I dont have the strength in me to fight if my awards stopped etc

Hi tillyboo

There is a bit of a backlog with reviews, as they are concentrating on new claims.

If you have an end date for your current PIP, then yes DWP can stop at the end date, if your claim is then successful you will receive the backdate from when your previous claim stopped.

You would be sent a letter informing your PIP will be stopping at a certain date.

We have heard from members who have received a letter extending their award due to the backlog, but you cannot guarantee this will happen.

Tillyboo mine took 12 to 13 months. Nothing to worry about. Some people it takes even longer. If your claim is going to run out the DWP will write to you and say we will keep on paying PIP until your review is completed. They will not stop your PIP while they are still reveiwing the claim.

Hi Tillyboo

A paper-based assessment has been done for you, which was what you were hoping for.

As we replied in one of your previous posts, we can't tell people how quickly their reviews will be processed, especially since we don't know what kind of assessment they will have. Yours was mercifully quick (though I'm sure it didn't feel that way).

You should get your decision letter shortly, and I hope it is the outcome you are hoping for.
