HI,
Last monday I lost at my pip tribunal. They did not take into account my main disability which affects Avery area of my life, adhd. Instead when I brought it up I was TOLD to only answer their questions, and stop rambling. They made NO mention of it in report from tribunal. I have official diagnosis, and medical prescriptions. And way more.

As I understand it, I have a month to arrange an upper tier tribunal? Ive 3x requested copies of the hearing notes / audio and nothing back.

Any help appreciated as its been 15 months of hell and Im not prepared to give up.

Hi Octavia

I'm sorry that you lost your PIP tribunal. It is outside the remit of this forum to suggest your next course of action (but you seem to know what you want to do- anyway.)

You must put in that you were told to "stop rambling" - that is outrageous and, in view of your condition, discriminatory, especially when you were not able to mention it. Did you ask specifically for a "Statement of Reasons?" - that's the official name for their notes. Ring the Tribunal Service again to chase this up, you don't want them to ignore your request and you don't want to miss the deadline for getting your appeal in. Tell them that you wish to log an appeal on the grounds of discrimination and the panel's refusal to even discuss your main diagnosis of ADHD, and that you want to register it now, (if you haven't done so) and you will send in your evidence once you have received the Statement of Reasons.

I wish you the best of luck with this.

Octavia, I am just sending you all the encouragement a message can, I got my ADHD diagnosis in my 60's, how much it affects people varies but they had NO right to treat you like that. Please keep us posted, there are lots of us here supporting you.

I have requested it three times but nothing yet, it's only been 8 days since tribunal.... yes, the Judge told me NOT to look at my notes, she wanted my own words. I said these are my own words I wrote this because of the adhd forgetting / remembering going off on a tangent issues. Ridiculous, they talked to me like I was a criminal, talking down to me and telling me to stop, not a nice experience, I had hoped they would be better than the pip DWP team, but alas the same treatment. Will keep you posted...
