I have received a back payment of £4252 , which will,if put in my savings account will take it to £6600. Do I inform UC? also,am I allowed to transfer the money into my savings account from my current account? because I have read so much conflicting advice .

Gary will correct me if I am wrong, but a back payment usually does not count as savings for the first year you receive it, so there is no need to inform UC. You can hold the money where you want.
