Hi,
Do you know how the changes could affect me, I'm currently claiming UC with LCW and including transitional protection as moved over from ESA, I recently reported a change of health circumstances and applied for LCWRA, I sent my form back in October.
If my claim is successful would the new rules affect me ? I'm not sure if I'd be treated as an existing claimant or if the claim would be treated as starting when I reported my change in health or from the date I'm awarded LCWRA (assuming I am) .
I'm very worried about how this could affect me if I'm not awarded before the rule change happens.

Hi June

Firstly if your Forum user name is a personal email address please would you change it for internet security purposes.
As you yourself reported the change in health conditions then you will get the current LCWRA rate and not the reduced rate. However the increase in your UC will lead to an erosion of your Transitional Element.
