Hi there,
PIP Phone Assessment: 21/11
Assessor Report Received: 28/11
Complaint/ Safeguarding Concern to Serco Filed: 30/11
Complaint Acknowledged: 1/12
Request to Decision Maker for Reasonable Adjustments/ Hold: 1/12
My assessor completely misunderstood me. Contradicted herself on the report and arguments she has made will collapse under scrutiny based on evidence I had already submitted.
I have given time stamps for the audio recording and complained that she spoke over me, told me to stop talking and asked me to make my answers shorter. I made it clear I have communication issues on the recording and my evidence backs this up.
I also expressed a safeguarding concern to Serco. Asked that they assure themselves she is properly trained in understanding mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions before assessing anyone else with these conditions. Her profession was just listed as Nurse.
Anyone know what is likely to happen? No decision has been made yet.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I am so glad to hear that you had an audio recording. I can't tell you what will be the outcome of your complaint, but at least they won't be able to deny what the assessor said. If there's no recording, they generally side with the assessor because there's no proof. Thankfully, you're not in that position. There's a possibility that you may have to have another assessment. I really hope this is resolved to your satisfaction.
