Hi everyone I ve been sent a notification that I have a compliance interview, recently have been moved from esa support group to uc with transition protection, now I got this letter. I’m in cancer remission and has a brain injury from been hit by a drunk driver years ago which was the original cause of my disability. Now I feel scared , I don’t work anymore, and can’t see how I would manage without this money what is going to happen to me, anyone else been through this and what happened

Hi Sarah

I'm sorry this has come out of the blue for you. Please try not to be scared. I can't tell you why you have received a letter - but they do choose a number of people at random to check that they are receiving the right level of benefits. It's not because they are thinking of removing your benefit. If you are worried ring and ask them about it. If you have a friend or loved one who can be on the call with you, it may make it easier. They generally don't last very long. Make sure that you tell them you have a brain injury and that means you may answer slowly.
