PIP review asking for an extension

I'm sorry to hear about your bereavement.

You have had a text saying that your PIP review has started, and you want an extension. They give extensions to people completing forms, not to when assessments may take place, which is, I assume, what you are worrying about. You can contact the DWP and ask them, but I don't know what they will say when the process has started. If you get an agreement on the phone, you should follow up with a letter confirming what you were told.
