Hi , my universal journey has been a lot better than a lot I will post again on that, but today I expected my payment and it wasnt in so phoned universal credit helpline and explained to be told it would be Monday not today as that's the way it can work if you are paid fortnightly ! Well obviously I didn't know that abd it is causing me no end of problems with billd due to be paid today but there you go we just have to accept everything.
BUT the rest of the conversation was triggering to say the least -
( bearing in mind I had my universal credit application and a pip review at the same time over christmas ! )

I saud to the adviser that I also had told them several times from the very furst time of applying a dodgy several times after that my new ee phone line gave me a new number as couldn't keep my old number , well it was new number fir few days then suddenly without notice it changed back to old number ! Anyway I explained to the adviser to check my work coach is calling on right old number , she said oh il email them now but you may have to go into job centre to verify it ! I saud no i don't go there is have phone calls only for years , wgat about a home visit I said no I dint need to verify anything the old number they have been calling me for years on is active abd I've explained this through the problem months ago that it coukd happen , do they not have all the conversations I've had over this written down !
I'm having the worst weekend i am all over the place , no money and being triggered by this all . Why can't they just leave people alone life is hard enough as it is .

Hi George

I'm sorry that you are going through this. I'm afraid your experience is very common, and staff often don't review previous contact between the claimant and the DWP. It would save so much stress if they did. I wish there was something I could say that would help, but unfortunately, there isn't. I hope they will see sense and this will be resolved quickly.
