ADP Scotland was created by Andrew
I applied for ADP for my son in 2023, he has been referred for Autism/ADHD, but it’s a 4yr waiting list, we got notified on Apr2024 and application was denied saying they didn’t have enough information, despite a hard hitting school report and the doctors referral, his mum never posted the mandatory reconsideration that I filled out. My question is…if he gets his referral say this year, or whenever and it comes back he has autism/ADHD can we go back to ADP and apply again and ask for the award to be backdated to the original application on December 2023 when we first applied and the knocked it back? Any info/knowledge would be much appreciated

Hi Andrew

I'm afraid, as your son was turned down in 2023 and no Mandatory Reconsideration was submitted, or a late Mandatory Reconsideration was submitted, there is no process that exists to ask them to go back to an earlier application.
