NHS APP - End dates on lifelong conditions ? was created by Chazy
Hi,
This in a round about way may be important when submitting medical evidence for benefits.
I did a deep dive ( well sort of, as my surgery seems to be adding sections fairly frequently to the app, its taken long enough) I was taken aback to find ''end dates'' on my app next to some of my conditions ! It is bizarre, I have complicated long term conditions that do not and never will, disappear. This was the first time I have come across this section on the app. I look frequently as I have so many hospital appointments, blood tests etc. I really need to look into this, as to look at it at face value, it looks like I now am totally free of these conditions, I am not ! Its a bit of a worry that someone could just print off a list from several sections of the app to send to DWP as proof of conditions without really scrutinising what they are sending. To look at mine, how it stands at this time, I would guess three quarters of my conditions are not mentioned anywhere at all on the app, which isn't great, then of the remaining chronic, long term conditions, two have end dates! how, why and when.
I really need to get onto my surgery and see how I/them get to fill in the gaps and tell me what the end dates mean, as I have no idea, which means a DWP assessor would have no idea either and just tick, ''the fine'' box. I was just wondering if anyone else has come across this ? If anyone has, how have you resolved it ? My surgery will not do letters for DWP, they point blank refuse, don't even have a paid service now. If I ask for a basic health record printout it will be the same info that's on the app. I can see this being another rabbit hole to reluctantly climb down at some point.
