Hi there's a woman on YouTube she's scaring the heck out of disabled people who are really becoming traumatized.
It's now affecting me!
She reckons she's an ex DWP advisor?
Has anyone heard of workwell? Now I'm panicking at 1.26am can't sleep.
She's saying people on sickness benefits will be 💯 forced to do workwell by DWP or get all benefits stopped!
I myself am on full housing benefit in sheltered housing and on UC and pip.
I have borderline personality disorder tbcptsd and anxiety and panic disorders and OCD and a fully ruptured Achilles tendon 😭.
Is it true or mandatory workwell ? Please

Hi pinkcandy

I'm sorry this is upsetting you. You cannot control what people will say - but you can choose what you listen to. You are letting a complete stranger on YouTube, a woman you don't know, make you ill with worry. This is an unverified source.

You can read about WorkWell on the government website. It was first talked about in 2023 and was supposed to be implemented in 2024. www.gov.uk/government/publications/workwell. This article has not been updated since 2024. It is known that the government wants to encourage disabled people into work and they are employing more work coaches. I am sure there are probably some pilot programmes somewhere in the country - but it certainly isn't everywhere.

If it becomes so, Steve will report on it in the newsletter. That is a verified source. Until then I would try not to think about it.

Hi pinkcandy

I agree with BIS. In fact, I'll go as far as saying this: you should never read anything on social media, the more serious the matter is, the more drastically you should ignore it. Only read important things from credible sources, such as the NHS website, BBC news, this forum, wikipedia.....

I avoid 'social media' like the plague: most people there are attention seeking, half-baked fools, the rest are people driven only by malice. Best to ignore it completely :)
