PIP diabetic impaired vision was created by AAT
Good evening members

I have diabetic retinopathy, I suffered a bleed in my left eye and can hardly see out of it. The right eye is not so good either. I struggle to read small print especially if on coloured background. Even street names, building names, exit signs, train platform notices, train & bus numbers are a problem to read.
My sight is poor in what people would consider to be a normal level of light. It is worse at night. So it is a slow process in the kitchen.

I used to like going out and travelling. Now I am not keen and would not like to undertake an unfamiliar journey, least of all at night. I used to have a restricted licence but lost it March 2025 fue to my condition.

I am filling in the PIP form for the first time and cannot decide how to put this in both mobility questions, planning a journey and going out. and preparing food.

Suggestions on the other questions would also be welcome.

Hi AAT,
I have answered this in your other post. All posts need to be checked by one of the Mods, before the post gets published. Sometimes we get loads of posts all at once and there is a backlog. This means there is a delay in publishing and replying to posts.
Apologies.
