hi mods, i have read that the dwp are now doing something called a "annual automated claim review" on all u/c claimants, can anyone clarify for me what this is and what questions will they ask please, will this involve them asking if i am still unable to work and will they ask for medical evidence, i am migrated from i/s support group to lcwra in u/c . sorry about questions but i am worried as i had citizens advise do my transition as i am unable to upload any files etc due to mental health problems. many thanks .

These reviews, rolled out from July 2025, target 7,000 cases every two weeks, with potential for suspension if not completed.
Key Aspects of Universal Credit Automated Reviews
The Process: Claimants receive a notification in their journal, by text, or email, to review and confirm their circumstances (e.g., income, savings, housing costs).
Action Required: Users must complete this task within their next assessment period (approx. five weeks).
Consequences: Failure to respond can result in the suspension of payments and potential closure of the claim.
Scope: These reviews are designed to tackle fraud and error, with many claims being checked over time.
Evidence: In some cases, specific evidence like bank statements may be requested, and a phone appointment might be required.

With the number of UC claimants - I don't think they will get round everyone. Can't tell you exactly what questions they will assk and I assume not everyone will be asked exactly the same.
