Hi all,

I claim the PIP daily living component, and have developed mobility problems.

I thought that my PIP was going to be reviewed around this point in time, but I have heard nothing. Are PIP reviews being suspended?

I am wondering if it is worth sending in new medical evidence with a view to claiming the mobility component, but my worry is that might result in a whole new review and yet another extremely stressful assessment, but equally, I don't want to not claim a state benefit I should be entitled to claim.

Any thoughts sincerely appreciated.

Hi Heisenberg

PIP reviews have not been suspended, DWP have been concentrating on new claims.

You could apply for a change of circumstances, if successful your claim would be backdated to the date of your phone call.

In my opinion you should treat a review as though it was a new claim therefore it makes no difference contacting DWP and reporting a change of circumstances, you still need to complete a form as though it is a new claims form.
