ME, Fibro and Pots and GP's factual report was created by Littlemissbluebreeze
Hi,
I've just been reading in your guide and it says, "If you are making a claim for PIP then you should consider talking to your GP about any of the issues below that are relevant to your claim" referring to the GP's factual report. I haven't seen my Doctor for over six years and when I did he demonstrated that he didn't understand what ME was at all. I'm not sure what to do, he doesn't know anything about my life and my limitations. I'm worried that even if I can get to see him it's possible he'll write nonsense on the report because he doesn't understand ME. Am I better off not seeing him? And advice would be very much appreciated. I've been badly gaslit by medical professionals in the past and the thought of it makes me panic.
Many thanks

Hi Littlemissbluebreeze
Welcome to the forum.
You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum.
You do not need a doctors report when applying for PIP, do you see any specialist organisations who may be able write you a supporting letter as to what support they give and why.
Do you have any family members/friends who give you support, they could write you a letter stating what support they give you and why, the why part is the important part.
