Help please…..reporting changes was created by metrology
Hi Moderartors
I have recently rang to report a change of circumstances… I have always had assistance to shower but can no longer shower myself on my own due to deterioration of my Arthiritis in my hands and shoulders……. I have PIP with no end date but a revue in 2028…….I was told if they go ahead I will be sent another set of forms to fill out….and will probably have to have a full face to face revue…….I told the lady I couldn’t face another set of forms and the stress of face to face…….she then said She could just take a note of my change and log it so when I have My revue in 2028……..
Is this true about the forms and face to face revue just for a simple change such as mine…?
What is your knowledge of this…
Another problem I have is on reading my original paperwork and interview notes I told the woman I used to use a microwave but now keep dropping things so no longer use one…dangerous…..I also told her at the time My Grandaughter showers Me as I can not shower my self reliably, or safely ……however when I have now looked at my award I was awarded at the time, it says that I can use a microwave and I can Shower Myself
I did not check this at the time of the award as I was so pleased I had been awarded PIp at that time.
So instead of telling them about the change in circumstances….should I tell them I was awarded wrongly in the first place…….what is you advice or thoughts on these 2 situations please

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi metrology
Whenever you report a change of circumstances you are sent a new claims form to complete as though you are claiming for the very first time. I would not worry what was stated in your previous application.
If you are successful then your award will be from the date of your phone call.
In regards to the assessment, the Government have stated that they want to do more face to face assessments rather than telephone, I have not yet noticed an increase in face to face assessments.
