Pip review and referring to points already allocated was created by Lorraine
Hi,
Doing first pip review.
I know it’s advised to do as if first application. Mine was over 30 pages so condensed a few days but still 25, is that ok?
Also is it a good idea to reference the points you have been awarded currently?
Thank you

Hi Lorraine,
It's as many pages as it takes!
It's ok to repeat. DWP might just get the idea by then!
Make sure you say eg
'I still need supervision to cook and prepare food, due to my very poor grip due to arthritis'....rather than just tick no change. By reiterating the help you need this is also a slightly better way than simply saying 'last time I was scored 4 points ....'
If you felt you should have been awarded eg 4 points instead of the actual 2 awarded- you could say eg
On the claim form of X date I wrote that I needed supervision to cook, as I am not safe due to my arthritis as I have a very poor grip, and frequently drop items and cut myself when the knife slips.I was awarded only 2 points for needing an aid or appliance, (the type of which wasn't specified.) I need help from someone with cutting and lifting things in the kitchen. I explained in the claim form that I had cut myself 10 times in the 6 weeks preceding filling in the form. This was ignored by DWP. Having had to go to A&E twice last year for serious cuts caused when I dropped a knife, one of which went through my foot, my GP has advised that I should not use sharp knives. I should receive 4 points for needing supervision to cook and prepare food...' etc etc
Make sure you mention safety, reasonable time, acceptable standard and repetition, as well as the majority of days. Finally if 2 or more activities within the same descriptor set apply equally, the higher value should be awarded.
I hope this helps.
Good luck.
