I received my decision over the phone, I was deemed fit for work.
The oddest part of the call was that I was asked what medication I was on and how to spell them.

They were put on my medical application, so I found this bizarre since I've been found fit for work.
I do work three days a week but it's becoming harder because it is physically demanding and my many conditions is really getting in the way.
My work coach encouraged me to fill in a medical because she had seen my struggles first hand.

I requested the full report from their medical assessor.
To say I am shocked by the level of untruths is an understatement.

It starts on page one, the time in which he said the assessment started was wrong.
I can prove I was messaging my friend back and forth.

He said I went through the physical exam perfectly well and was able to get on and off the examination bed.
None of this happened, he didn't go through a single physical and yet he says I can do everything he listed!

I have a very rare genetic condition, he said "I've never heard of it." Yet he states I am medicated for it.

Surely this assessors have a duty of care to at least have some knowledge of people's conditions?

I have requested reconsideration but my question is, how can I tackle so many downright lies?
Unfortunately, I had to go alone became my mum was ill. I feel completely taken advantage of.

I would be so grateful for any advice.

Thank you.

Hi Lemondrizzlecake

You can start by reading our guides to Mandatory Reconsiderations and Appeals.
You could consider getting help or an advocate from a local Welfare Advice agency.
