Hi, having had to complete the new pip review for (made harder I think) I obviously looked at my last assessment notes and the assessor says shes giving me an extended legnth before I need to be revewid again.

Off the top off my head I can't remember if it says how long.

But whats odd is I seem to have been reviewed sooner than normal. My last review was in 2023, so it's only been just over two years. `why so soon, whem my last assessor because of my condition gave me an extension.

Also, reading through my last assessment, it's clearly marked I was able to do certain activities because I answered the questions and talked about my condition.

What do they expect us to do? Not answer and talk about our conditions? This was a phone assessment in 2023. So because I could answer questions, they decided I don't forget things when in pain and fatigued. That a small example.

I can obviously plan a journey as well, going off that I was able to answer questions and remember a condition that is my life.

I find this insane.

We are being down scored for explaining how our conditions affect our lives. We're not supposed to be able to remember how our conditions affect our lives.

Are you seeing this a lot? It's an obvious tactic used to keep our scoring down.

I had ChatGPT help me with the legal jargon to add to my activities to try stop them being able to do this again, as just because we can answer questions and remember medications, this is not the same as remembering and coping when out doors with our disabilities.

How can they say oh this person seems fine over the phone and use that to score a person nothing in three activities? Do we have to start pretending to struggle over the phone? Pretend to not remember how our condition affects us? Pretend we can't remember what meds we take?

On looking at my las assessment they took higher rate for daily living this way. I never noticed really because they gave me motobilitu back.

So now I've had higher mobility given to me, then taken off me, then given back to me again, and the other one for washing, cooking etc, I got awarded it one time, then taken off me the last time when they gave me back high rate mobility.

I'd have thought, they'd know if you need high rate mobility, you're gonna also struggle with showering and cooking and the rest.

I think it's disgusting they use being helpful to them by answering what they ask us goes against us and gets us marked down.

You can not compare someone over the phone to how they are in busy places dealing with their disabilty etc.

We're sat in our homes with paperwork to help when we're answering their questions.

Should we start going no comment like criminals do?

Hi laneif2

If you don't know the date of a review, it's hard to comment on whether you are being reviewed more quickly than usual. PIP awards have become shorter.

I don't know whether they are becoming harder when people can explain their conditions or not - because there are plenty of people who appear to fail because they can't explain. I think either way it comes down to a bit of luck in who looks at a claimant's papers and who the assessor is (which isn't right, because the process should be consistent, but we know it isn't).
