Help appreciated .
I had an accident in Sep 2024 I ruptured my patella tendon. In Nov 24 I sent a fit note to esa and was told almost immediately no you haven’t paid correct years of Ni . Even though I will get a full state pension!!!! At that time I asked what I’d need to do which I was told . Unknown to me at that time Nov 24 surgery wasn’t successful so needed further surgery in Sep 25. Again I sent a fit note. I actually went further this time and was actually told I’d receive esa only then to receive a voice mail to say no . I have never received any correspondence from then at all . Then I sent in a mandatory review which again hasn’t been actioned then a few weeks ago I had an appointment to attend a limited capability assessment. So again I contacted ESA and I was told my case had been resolved but to attend assessment as that would change everything 🙃🙃 I’m still waiting. I’m really unsure what to do . My husband works so unable to get UC but now I face further surgery in September!!! Any advice 😘

Hi Alyhyena22

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you would like us to advise on. It sounds as if you are being given inconsistent stories - but I'm not sure from what you wrote whether you are waiting to receive an appointment date for your limited capability assessment, or whether you have actually attended an assessment and are now awaiting the result. Either way, the only people who can tell you what is happening with your ESA are the DWP, and I would ring them to ask what the current status of your claim is.

I'm sorry to hear that you're facing further surgery.
