It's a date when they say they will contact you, which some people don't have. In which case, you may receive an AR1 - but then they may put you on the list of people who they have decided their condition is stable and unlikely to change, or if you have reached SPA, in which case you will receive an AR2. The only way to know for certain is to ring and ask - which most people wouldn't choose to do in case it triggers a review.
There should be an advantage to receiving the AR2, but as two members of Benefits and Work have found recently, it didn't save them from a full review, and both of them had their awards removed and they are now fighting to have them restored.
