In a recent interview for PIP I was asked if I could prepare a simple meal. I know what the definition of a simple meal is as I have read it in your information. However I decided to ask the interviewer what her definition of a simple meal was and she replied some toast or a bowl of cereal. Isn’t that wrong?
Other questions I was asked definitely didn’t tie in with the information you have provided. She didn’t seem too concerned that most of my activity is carried out slowly and in pain, she just wanted to know if I could do the activities at all.
Is there some come back when the interviewer is clearly bending the definitions to suit themselves.
I did end up getting my PIP renewed but just wondered why there seems to be no regulation as to the questions they can ask.

Will it matter in 10 minutes, 10 hours, 10 days, 10 weeks, 10 months, 10 years.

Hi Lomati

No, preparing a simple meal is not the same as making toast or eating a bowl of cereal. It is not even putting a ready meal in the microwave. It doesn't surprise me that the assessor was ill-informed.

No, there isn't any recourse unless you recorded the interview and want to file a complaint.

I'm glad that your PIP was renewed.
