Those pesky 3 points! was created by Julie
Hi I had my PIP Review and MR a few weeks ago, I stayed on the same Award of std DL, and enhanced Mobility.
I scored 9 on the DL, they again completely ignored that I have to use a dosette box for my millions of tablets per week, and they ignored the fact that I need more help with cooking/food prep.
I have MS, RA, fibro and several other health conditions, and the reasons they gave were "no decline in my health, and that my medication has not changed".
It seems bizarre because I literally listed all the things that have happened over the last three years, in order. I also provided a letter from my GP and Consultant Neurologist both supporting an application for continuous PIP, alongside the sick notes from when I was off sick (since my last assessment), I only work seven hours per week, it was eight, but I've dropped one - which I also showed by my pay slip. I showed evidence of IV steroids, sensory loss in hands, night time emptying of bladder - and explained to them how bad my spasticity now is now, especially when I get up in the morning.
In total, I have provided 17 pieces of evidence and around 5000 word document, plus photographs. For my MR, I did around 2000 word docu and like 10 pieces of evidence.
I spoke to a woman a week or so ago from a MR department who told me to submit ANOTHER MR before applying for a Tribunal, and to add to it anything else I could think of. She suggested my son (who is an adult and trained carer) writing a letter explaining exactly what he does for me, which I'll be honest, I never thought of.

But I was wondering if you had any other advice?

Hi Julie

I'm sorry this has happened to you. Yes, the letter from your son is a good idea. Make sure that he covers the PIP questions. He doesn't have to refer to each one - just cover the general criteria. One side of A4 will be plenty.

It sounds as if you've given everything you can. What I don't understand is that you have been told to submit a second Mandatory Reconsideration. I have never heard of that before. I would ring the DWP and check that advice and see if you are told the same thing.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
