Unrequested PIP review extension letter

Hi, I wanted to let you all know about something that I wasn't expecting and haven't heard about before. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

My PIP review forms were sent out mid-March and due back later this week. With one thing and another, including a fall last week that has drastically affected my mobility for the time being, I've been panicking over the weekend trying to complete the form, gather copies of all my evidence, etc. This morning I had half a mind to call PIP and ask for an extension, just in case. I needn't have worried. A letter arrived around midday advising me that they haven't received my form yet and to ensure I return it by the end of the month at the latest.

I was gobsmacked, to be honest! I even called them to check it was showing on the system and was assured it is. I officially have another 2 weeks to get my review form in and I didn't even have to ask for it.

Is this news to everyone else too?!
