PIP light touch review feedback

I had an ongoing PIP award since 2015 for enhanced daily living and enhanced mobility and was sent an AR2 review form which I returned in mid February. My health conditions and needs have not improved since my initial award so I ticked the box to reflect “no change” but also wrote a short paragraph for each of the 3 questions as to why my health conditions and needs were ongoing and why they hadn’t changed and referred them back to my original claim form and medical evidence. I received a decision today, without the need for an assessment, and my award has remained the same with no further review until April 2036. The whole process took just over 8 weeks. I would therefore advise this approach to anyone else who is facing a light touch review.

Hi LJ

Many congratulations on your successful review. Thanks for taking the time to post with your experience. I am so glad that you wrote a paragraph on each of three questions and referred them back to your previous evidence. Wise decision. It was certainly very quick for you. I know some people have had to wait much longer for the AR2 results.

Hi Natalie,
I wrote in the box that was provided under each question. Although I had ticked the “no” box, so wasn’t required to write anything, I figured that it wouldn’t hurt to write a short paragraph to refer them back to my original extensive evidence and their decision letter and to remind them that my condition was progressive.
I hope your review is successful too.
