Another condition was created by Ryan
Hi,

I am currently claiming PIP for depression and social anxiety but finally been diagnosed with Autism.

All my social anxiety problems I think can now be put down to Autism.

I have been looking but can't seem to find an answer. On the page 'Report a change to your needs or circumstances' I can't find anything that applies to me.

What do I do now, as everything I said in the PIP form is still the same, its just I now officially have another condition that doesn't affect me in any different way.

Do I need to reapply for pip with the new condition, also does that mean my current award would stop?
Wait for my review and add it to that?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Ryan

There is no need to reapply for PIP and your current award will not stop. You have a new diagnosis but as you say the new condition does not affect you in a different way. This means that the descriptors that are used by the Assessor to determine your PIP eligibility remain the same.
If you are currently content with your PIP award and payments then do nothing and you can inform them of the new diagnosis at your next review.
PIP can sometimes be a lottery. Forum members have been known to report a new condition to PIP and an Assessor for no good reason then reduces the award.
