If they are our rights, why do we have to fight for them?
DLA Child - Delays in response - where can I go? was created by Oscarab
Hi
I received a response to a DLA Child claim at the beginning of March this year and I asked for information or reasons for the decision.
I was advised that the information from the DM had not been uploaded and it would be requested. I would need to wait approximately 10 days for it to come through the post.
This did not happen so I called in again to be advised that it had still not been uploaded and would need to request it again - please wait 10 days. So I did and still nothing.
Again I called in to be advised it had been sent - please wait a further week... so I did... and nope - still nothing - we are talking over 2 months now.
I called in yesterday to raise a complaint and I was advised at 12.15 that a Team Leader would give me call back within 3 hours....
Do I need to say it...?? I am still waiting for that call 24 hours on!!
I intend to call in AGAIN today hoping I can get through in less than an hour but is it really worth it....?!
I am, apparently, unable to go through the ICE process as I have not completed the DLA Complaint Process, but if they are not abiding by their own process... what the heck can I do?!
Its infuriating, stressful and so time consuming... please - any advise welcomed.
TIA

Hi Oscarab
I'm sorry for not replying sooner. Have you heard back from the DWP? The only thing I can suggest. If you haven't, it's time to involve your MP and see if they can move your case along a bit quicker.
