PIP Review was created by kah22
My nephew has been called in for a PIP review. I have all the papers from his original award but I see a few items on it that may have been missed, should I start to raise them, or let well enough alone. I think my nephew is of that option
I have a copy of his original successful claim and very little if anything, except a few points that could be updated. His neck was broken when he was a child. Maybe he wears his support collar an extra day a week
Anyway what I came here to ask is it acceptable, where nothing has changed to use word for word what was in the original.
If everything is the same, as it was then, to use word for word what was written down in his initial successful claim

Hi kah22
I'm not sure what you mean when you say a 'few items may have been missed'. Do you mean conditions that he has that weren't included in the original form, or issues that were not commented on by the assessor?
If you are saying there are some issues that your nephew never talked about before, and whether they should be included now, that will be something he will have to decide for himself. One thing that can help in the decision is whether any of the issues could potentially reward him points. If he already has an enhanced award, then he may not think it is worth it.
Yes, you can use the same wording, though the review form wording has been updated and is different from the original claim form. You may find that it's not always easy just to drop it straight in.
I would advise you to check out the Guide to PIP Claims and Reviews and ensure you have the most up-to-date information on how to respond on the review form. Without wanting to put a downer on anything, some claimants are finding that their reviews are leading to a downgraded award, so don't take anything for granted. I hope it goes well for your nephew.
