Pip complaint and MR was created by chloe
I went from standard rate daily living and mobility to no award following a review. I believe I should be receiving higher for both due to decline in mental health and mobility. I submitted my mandatory reconsideration and complaint to hass at the same time. I've had a response to my complaint saying it was passed to a higher person, giving feedback to the clinician who carried out the review on significant errors in the report and they are suggesting amendments to my report( to what it was before) and giving further advice regarding other descriptors, not stating which, given the further evidence I sent with my MR, around being housebound with severe anxiety/agoraphobia that was available at the time of the review and more after, which hass has acquired somehow,( I was under the impression the complaint and MR are separate things)have alot of evidence and statements from social link worker, pcls, gp, friend and my son sent with MR. It then states they can't say if any of their advice/ammendments will be considered and offer £100 good will gesture. I'm just wondering if it will be likely my award will be reinstated and now recieve higher rate given advice they are giving dwp. Also should I accept the £100 or wait untill I get the MR decision, and can I ask for a copy of the hass new recommendations. Sorry its alot, bit overwhelming.

Hi Chloe
I'm sorry to hear of your experience.
I can't advise you on whether to accept the £100 - that is your choice. I think it is a cop out that they have sent you so little for what is actually an inadequate report. The assessor is their assessor and yet they make it sound as if they can't force any changes - that is ridiculous. You may want to submit a 'Subject Access Request" to see the information that was written by the senior person about your original report.
I can't tell you whether your award will be reinstated, but I personally wouldn't accept any money until you hear the outcome of your mandatory reconsideration from the DWP.
