PIP renewal question was created by ZombiesRock
Hello, hope you are all doing ok.
I have a little question. I have been claiming PIP for a few years now and recently received a renewal form (not a lite form). I've noticed the form is a little different to the previous ones so I wondered if the way they award points now is done differently. If so can I just copy the information from my previous form or not really? I'm concerned that not answering questions in the best way possible might affect my claim.
TIA

Hi ZombiesRock
You will find useful information about completing a PIP review form from page 134 of the BenefitsandWork guide :-
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/?dlp=6a26f364068ca
It is generally advised that you prepare for and submit a PIP review form with as much detail as a new PIP claim.
Let us know how you get on.

Hi David, thanks for the response. I had a look at the whole guide it was very useful, I just wondered, most of my health issues and needs haven't changed so would it be ok to just copy the information I gave on my previous form (things that haven't changed) onto the renewal one?

Hi ZombiesRock
Yes, copying as you say would be fine. Though make sure you send in copies of the supporting evidence, prescriptions etc. It would not hurt if you get letters from friends, relatives and neighbours describing the difficulties caused by your disabilities.

OK thanks. I think I'm going to need help from my local charity filling it in though, I tried and just can't do it.

Hi ZombiesRock
Make sure that if the charity sends off the form for you, you have a copy of it. (I'm not saying they will do that, but some do and I know some members have been left without a copy of their form which has caused difficulties later).
