Hi Mods
Just got a DWP letter titled "About your Pension Credit" with 7817/0058 printed at the very bottom of it.

Says we need to make sure your getting the right amount of Pension Credit. Current amount's based on info previously provided in 2023 when i was first awarded it when reached SP age. We need to check this info to keep our records up to date.... Need to check the info we hold will be correct when my birthday arrives this year. Will contact me in the near future by letter or phone. No need for me to contact them.

When they do contact they'll be asking details including:
Savings or investments in bank, shares, trusts, premium bonds cryptoassets
Housing costs: service charges/ground rent
Personal or work pensions
Any other income

Sorry for listing it like this but do the mods or any forum members recognise this type of letter as part of the government's snoopers personal checks on our privately held bank accounts.!!! Or perhaps most annoyingly even a follow up secondary check after having already accessed my bank details etc!!!!

Would appreciate feedback on whether my suspicions are correct, or anyone had a similar letter or do the forum mods recognise what this letter is really about.

Just say my Pension credit is very, very, very, small but cos i get PIP as well I get the Severe Disability Allowance which tops it up

Appreciate any feedback..

Hi Dalglish60

I have not come across this before. Maybe other Forum members can share their experiences.
