PIP Extension by only 2 days!!!

Just received a letter to inform me that I had received an extension to my PIP award, however it was only for 2 days from 2nd Aug 27 to 4th Aug 27!!! When I phoned up to enquire if this was a mistake, I was told that they were just aligning my award end date to the same date the award was issued - 4th Aug, however it couldn’t be extended any further, as no award can be extended beyond 5 years from date it was award and as my award was for over 6 years, I ‘m not eligible for a longer extension.

I found this to be very cruel, as I am already dreading my reassessment, which I was hoping would be extended as my conditions gets exacerbated by the stress of reassessment, but I was told to expect the forms any day!!!

I really wish they could see what the reassessment and lengthy process actually do to claimants!!
