Will it effect my universal credit was created by george
Hi everyone , i have for several years lived alone ( im 62 now ) i have daily living pip and sdp and universal credit , no housing benefit element at all .
I also get full council tax discount ( think my council base that on my pip daily award and i have converted my dining room into a bedroom years ago as cant use the stairs safely especially at night ).
My daughter is talking about moving back home for a while a d so want to check things . She is a adult and will be working full time.
I know the council tax could change now and i will lose sdp for ever, but just checking my Universal Credit wont decrease as well .

Your UC will not be reduced by your daughter's presence. This is because you receive PIP which gives you exemption from Housing Cost Contributions.
Council Tax will be a different matter as each Local Authority has its own scheme which you will need to investigate as Council Tax departments are notorious in making errors to their own advantage.

Thank you . One more thing do you know how much they take off for the SDP loss per week ? I also get the old wrag amount for being in wrag group when you used to get money for being in it too, and daily care low pip so its a bit hard to work out for me anyway !

If you are in receipt of ESA it will be Contributions based and is now called New Style ESA. It is not affected by family members circumstances unlike UC.
