I have tried and tested this method of obtaining some CAB advice but it would depend on mobility and having access to a car.
I too was unable to get an appointment at my local Cab as it was always mobbed, so i looked up the nearest CAB that was in a quiet little town. I then simply drove there and walked (hobbled) in off the street and was seen almost straight away!
Worth a try maybe? If you can't drive perhaps a friend or family member could take you?

All the best, Ranald.

Hi All
In February 2010 I had the misfortune of having to fill in an ESA form and a DLA renewal at the same time. I was overwhelmed by the whole process. Anyway because I became so confused I ended up putting total rubbish on my DLA form (some parts). I put down falls occurring in 2010 that occured in 2009, I put some silly timings in how much time it took to help me. I was confused by how often and much more - quite frankly it was not my best piece of work. I was turned down for ESA, went for reconsideration by taking their repot to pieces and it was overturned. Now I'm having to go to tribunal for DLA and I don't know whether I should highlight that some of my replies were totally inadequate or just ignore what I wrote.
Another problem is they have used the ESA medical as reason to query conflicts between what I wrote in ESA, DLA and the medical. I do not know when they reconsidered my ESA whether my questioning of the medical was the reason why it was overturned, so I do not know if I can reason that as the DLA decision was taken on the ESA medical that was subsequently discredited and overturned a week after the DLA decision was taken can I argue that they should have not used this ESA medicalwhen the DLA decision was reconsidered.
I have brain fog due to my condition and can be a clear as a pin one moment and the next cannot string a whole sentence together so I am at the mercy of my mind when it comes to filling in and checking forms. I unfortunately only came across this wonderful site after I had submitted my documents.

If you say you got confused and they except your reasons your ok, if they dont and they suspect other reasons for the conflicts then you might have a problem.... your best reason might be "brain fog" what causes your brain fog ? is it to be expected that the problem you need dla esa for
has memory problems cognetive function problems as a wellknown side affect
