Light Duties was created by Shomac
Morning, im looking for a little advice.
I went to see my gp recently & asked him about the drive to get people back in work.
He said that he would put me in the category for light duties.
Can someone please tell me will i lose my benefits & if its found that i am unable to work, would i have to reapply for them, as i havent worked for a long time.
I would be grateful for any advice.
Thanks,
Shona

Hi Shona
I take it that your doctor has given you a 'fit note' stating that you can carry out light duties. Can you tell us what benefit you are claiming?

HI Derek, thanks for your prompt response.
I havent had a note from my GP saying that im fit to work. I suspect he's waiting for the powers that be to contact him.
I get the following benefits;
Incapacity Benefit, Industrial Injuries, DLA-mobility, Housing/council tax benefit.
My visit to the gp was to inform him that i had fallen again & did he want me to record any future falls.
I havent worked for 8 years-accident at work & im worried that i may lose my benefits if i refuse a job.
Thanks,Shona
