HELP!!
I have been helping a very good friend 5 hours a week whilst on incapicity benifit I have been paid £60 p/w.
My IB has been dis-allowed because I did not inform them of what I was doing. my original claim was in 07 they have allowed every other year as permitted work and have sent two bill for over payment adding upto a huge £7,000. has any body got any helpfull comments as to what I do next, I dont feel I have done anything wrong as I am within the permitted rules ( work less than 16 hours & earn less than £95 p/w).

It's not clear from your post as to whether the work you carried out was authorised by the DWP or not?

If not, then this could be a serious issue and you should immediately seek advice from advisor as there is real risk the DWP could pursue you for benefit fraud.
