I wonder how many medicals do you get!! I have had 4 medicals in the last 2 years and I have been placed in the support group every time. I have been granted DLA at the higher rate along with mobility. I had a stroke last year along with a heart problem.

The doctor's say that they can not operate on my heart as the risks are to high. I have just recieved yet more forms for another medical, these medicals take a lot out of me, is there anything I can do? I understand that they have to check people over but 5 times in 27 months is a bit much

You can try contacting the DWP.

You can clearly show that you qualify for the Support Group and I assume you have evidence that your condition will not improve, this should be enough to have your re-assessments set at a more reasonable level.

Failing that, your next step would be to complain to your MP, infact it might not hurt to mention that to the DWP as well :)

Thanks Gorden, They have my medical records, I have a letter from my GP I am not fit for work. I have told atos this when they call and all they say is "have the medical or lose your benefit". I think the MP is the next option.

I think you should also contact the Work and Pensions Committee, public money is being wasted on WSAs that the DWP could carry out clerically:-
