Would My MP Be Supportive was created by SusanH
I have never had an interest in politics. (Though I do usually vote.) Didn’t even know who my MP was, until I looked them up on this site findyourmp.parliament.uk/ and put in my post code.

My question is: how do I find out if my MP is sympathetic to the sick and disabled going through the process of dealing with the DWP and or ATOS? Or if I have someone who agrees with the MP who thinks sick or disabled should work before less than the minimum wage?

Hi,

By searching sites such as 'They work for you'

www.theyworkforyou.com/mp/

and Hansard:

www.parliament.uk/business/publications/hansard/commons/by-mp/

it is possible to find out what your MP may have spoken or voted on. However sometimes they follow a party whip on votes even when they may personally disagree.

Searching your local online newspaper and asking around may give you an idea on what your MP is like on certain matters.

Other than that, it maybe you need to e-mail, or write to him/her and see what sort of response you get.

Pete
