I attended my first WFI last Monday and it took about 15 minutes in total. At the end my advisor said she would see me next review period.

I was asked which conditions I had, what meds I took, details of my last job and any other benefits I was on.

After that she explained the review/assessment process and said that she could arrange a grant worth I think up to £300 if I find a course whether at home or at a centre/university setting if I wanted. It was there should I wish to look into it.

Also said that they could refer me to therapists, pain clinic so forth should I want it and not been offered it from my doctors/specialists etc., agreed with me that I couldn't physically sit for an hour or three on say an IT course due to my disabilities and after helping me out of my chair and getting a guard to help me to the lift said she see me at the mandatory WFI after my next review.

I had my interview sent to me within a month of my letter from the DWP about being placed in the WRAG but reading on forums leads me to believe that things is different in other parts of the UK.

She mentioned that I was due for review in 2 years time, the longest being a year that she had seen previously with ESA claimants, but had no idea how the time limiting of CB-ESA should it go through next April will affect my case.

I would agree with you based on my experience. I have one if not too disabling and degenerative conditions put in the WRAG but appealing. But in the meantime have been called in to all meetings - WFI, WRAG and now am going through the entire process again (new ESA50 to fill out) just about 4 months after a decision was settled on. This was after I contacted my MP.

good luck and enjoy any periods of quiet/non-contact with DWP et al.

Sounds very strange that someone told you that you may not get any WFI's when in WRAG.

I'm surprised that citymike was told:

"not to worry as there was no set time for the interviews to be arranged, and that depending on how severe your disability is you may not even get called if the Jobcentre think they will struggle to help you.", as I didn't think the Jobcentre had access to medical information on claimants.

But there quite a few posts on moneysavingexpert dot com complaining about never having been called to a single WFI even after a year or two in the WRAG.
