8 days for a decision on DLA is that TOO quick was created by Bobajob
I know asking how long for a decision is a bit like asking how long is a bit of string, but medical was on 22nd and got letter today (30th) letter dated 28th, does seem very quick, I will 100% be appealing but it just seems so quick that they could not have read the info I gave them properly.
Is 8 days too quick for a decision?

Hi BAJ,
It does seem a quick turn around time as the 26th and 27th were Sat and Sun.
Can't really comment on if it's "too quick", maybe other members will post their experiences of the same.
cheers

I didn't get an assessment for my DLA but I did get one for my ESA and I got the results a week later (put in support group). There was a weekend involved too and it was sent 2nd class, so that kind of works out to be 3 days!

Sorry to hear your DLA application wasn't successful. I'm a support worker and I helped a client complete a DLA application in August this year. The DLA forms were sent to the DWP on a Friday and a decision to award our client with the low rate mobility component was made the following Thursay. I was absolutely amazed at the speed as the only supporting documentation we had was a letter from her mother and a three page letter from myself. Her GP wasn't contacted.
Best of luck with your appeal, Bobajob. I've been involved in a few appeals and the guides on this site are invaluable.
