medical supporting evidence was created by debsy
hi, can anyone advize me. unfortunately when i completed my esa form I forgot to enclose all my medical evidence and even though from my illness and what i wrote i should have been placed in the support group but i feel that due to my lack of medical evidence i have been called for a medical, maybe if i had remembered to enclose the med evidence i would have been put direcly in to the support group, never mind. my question is should i now send my evidence to the dept of work & pensions or is it to late or should i just take all my evidence to my medical and explain to examinr or just hand it in to them on the day and not say i forgot to send it with the form. please advize.
PS my medical is in a weeks time
thank you, debbie

Hi D,
To cover all bases, it may be best to send copy to the DWP ESA DM, at the Benefits Office named on your ESA migration letter, you could also send copy to ATOS, at the same address that you sent your ESA50 to, both by recorded delivery.
You could then take a copy to your face to face assessment also.

If your disability is mental illness and the face to face assessment would causde needless distress when you have evidence that may mean they could accept your case without a medical, then send it in and ask for the medical to be temporarily put back to another date while that evidence is considered

s helpful. I havnt got mental health issues but would it still be worth while me sending it to DWP and appolagising for the lateness of medical evidence and asking them to re consider before medical? Also would the medical officer forward my e on to DWP after they have looked at it. Deb

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

As Bro58 has already advised send a copy to both the DWP and ATOS and take a copy to your medical.
It is unlikely, but not impossible that a Decision Maker will now excuse you from the medical.
Unless you have written confirmation that you have been excused, you must attend the medical.
