Partialy sighted - dla was created by anitacool
I was born with Coloboma, registered
Part|sighted 1985...been on SDA since
1993..
visual acuity
right eye 6-18
left eye 6- 10
.....is it worth applying for DLA ?
Would I need a medical ?

To find out about claiming DLA for partially sighted persons scroll down to the section entitled 'Disability Handbook', and refer to page 44 et seq in the DLA resources.
Although the handbook is no longer used by DLA decision makers, it is nevertheless still relevant and gives a good indication of the mobility/care needs arising from disabled people with sight problems.
If you wish to make a claim for DLA please refer to the guide entitled "The Best Possible Disability Living Allowance Claims For Adults On Physical Health Grounds" in the DLA resources.
A copy of the DLA claim form can be downloaded from HERE.
