As I am reaching pension age want to close my ESA claim. Any one please guide me how to close?
Hi B&W Member ESA
If you wish to close your claim to ESA, write to your local DWP office, or the one that most recently dealt with your award, quoting your National Insurance Number.

I was on Incapacity Benefit, before I reached State Pension age in 2005. I did not have to close my IB claim, it was done automatically. When I reached 65 years of age, my IB was stopped when I received State Pension.
I'm not up-to-date with ESA, but I'd have thought your ESA will automatically cease when you qualify for State Pension.
If things have changed in moving from ESA to State Pension, I'm sure someone will correct me.
